To prepare the joint plate for the M5900RVe printer:

Top of

movable

plate

Boss

Underside

of movable

plate

When the movable

plate reveals

“M5900RVe”, adjust its

position so that each

protruding stub (called

a boss) on the under-

side of the movable

plate will fit neatly into

one of two complemen-

tary holes on the main

plate. The movable

plate will not slide eas-

ily now. Tighten the two

screws which were

loosened in Step 1.
